Write Ghana’s mission is to create opportunities that increase the use and representation of Ghanaian languages and literatures.
Our Initiatives
- The Write Ghana Awards, a series of literary prizes that award storytelling in Ghana. The first is the Ghanaian Languages Short Story Prize, a literary prize that seeks to discover and celebrate literature written in indigenous Ghanaian languages with a focus on short stories. We believe that creative writing represents a unique opportunity to encourage and support people to write and to read in their local Ghanaian languages.
- Writing Workshops – We produce workshops that support writers with skills needed towards writing and publishing.
