WINNERS

Anna Naa Amanua Ankrah is a language enthusiast with a degree in English and Linguistics. She developed a keen interest in the Ga language at a tender age when she began reciting poems in the language. Her exposure to her family, church, and Ga tutors have influenced her love for the language.
She loves to read, work on projects and share ideas. 

Aboagye Joseph is a Ghanaian author who holds a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Twi Education with Linguistics from the University of Education, Winneba. He is the National President of the International African Writers’ Association (IAWA), which has its headquarters in Nigeria. He has been featured in many international anthologies and is a part of many global literary platforms. As the founder of Literature Student’s Association of Akan-Nzema Department (LISAAND); a literary group in the Ajumako campus of University of Education, Winneba. He was honored as the Best Writer of The Year (2019) in the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS)  Excellence Awards at the University of Education, Winneba, Ajumako.

Freeman Wayo comes from Abutia Kloe in the Volta Region. He had his basic education at Abutia Agorve and completed in 2009. He continued his secondary education at Abutia Senior High Technical School where he pursued Languages under the General Arts Program and completed in 2013. Currently, he is pursuing Ewe Education with English Language at the University of Education, Winneba. As part of his interest, he writes poems and stories. 

Augustina Eshun is a young prolific writer with an immeasurable love for the Fante language. She attended Philip’s Complex JHS, Inchaban, and the Methodist Senior High School, Sekondi respectively. She currently holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fante Education with Linguistics at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).

John Napari Naporo had his basic and secondary education at  Pong-Tamale D\A J.H.S and Pong-Tamale S.H.S. He currently holds a B.A. in Ghanaian Language (Dagbani Education ) with Linguistics and is a Teaching Assistant at UEW. He is interested in Ghanaian Languages and Language Documentation. He was the president of the Association of Students of Ghanaian Languages, UEW in 2017/2018. He aspires to become a linguist.

Raphael Batsa was born in the year 1993 at Nkurakan in the Eastern region. He started his basic school education at Koforidua St. John Bosco and completed in the year 2010. He continued to Akuse Methodist Senior High Tech. School and completed in the year 2013. He is currently pursuing B.A. in Dangme with English Education at the University of Education, Winneba.
