Meɖi tsa yi abɔ la me
Afi si ɖoɖoe zi le toŋtoŋtoŋ
Eye hloluitsotsowo nu yi le keŋ
Ameyinugbeawo dɔ alɔ̃ mavɔ
‘Labe woyɔ wo na dzudzɔ. 

Meɖe ŋku ʋuu
Gake nyemekpɔ tɔgbuitɔgbuiwo o
Ke mamamamɛwo ya ɖe
Afi kae wole?
Ne ɖe safui aɖe li la,
Anye ne meʋu ʋɔ na wo hafi
Gake aʋli sa wo koe 

Yɔkpeawo ɖo atsyɔ̃ na wo
Eye seƒoƒo nyuiwo ƒoxlã wo
Medo ɣli yɔ wo
Gake kpao!
‘Labe ɣli medea aʋliawo de o
Gbɔgblɔ bu ɖem keŋ
Eya ta babaa ko medo na wo.
